Lesant Siamese and Orientals relocated from Kent (UK) to Kansas (USA) in May 2005. We will continue to breed pure British blood lines and our kittens will be registered with the G.C.C.F. in the United Kingdom as well as the C.F.A. in the United States. Our prefix (Lesant) is registered with the G.C.C.F., the C.F.A. and T.I.C.A.

We have been showing Siamese cats since 1983 and breeding since 1984. In 1985 we bought our first stud a beautiful Seal Point Siamese and in December 1986 we moved from England to America with eight Siamese cats and a Doberman. In early 1987 we took five cats to our first American show in Birmingham, Alabama. Our Stud was awarded CFA Grand Champion, a male neuter awarded CFA Grand Premier and three of our breeding queens were awarded Champion status.

We returned to the United Kingdom during the summer of 1995, and began showing again in early 1996 having purchased Nahema Blue Jasper on the Inactive Register (bred by Hazel Turnbull) and a Seal Point girl on the Inactive Register named Chrisma from another breeder. Our first new breeding queen arrived in 1997, Mona Lisa, a beautiful Lilac Point Siamese, who made G.C.C.F. Champion in her first three adult shows. After being neutered 'Lisa' made G.C.C.F. Premier in her first three shows and now has two Grand certificates.

In 2001 we decided to add Orientals to our breeding program and in 2002 produced our first Foreign White, who, at the age of 16 weeks, was awarded Best Oriental in Show over an existing Grand Chamption. This cat, G.C.C.F. Grand Premier Lesant Francisco Goya, has proved to be virtually unbeatable and is (in our opinion) the best Foriegn White neuter in the UK. His brother (from a second repeat mating) G.C.C.F. Premier Lesant Pablo Picasso is hot on his heels, while their sister G.C.C.F. Champion Lesant Olympia will soon (we hope) be mated. We have continued to breed (exceptionally white) show winning Foreign Whites with beautiful sapphire blue eyes. In 2004 we successfully added Havanas and Oriental Lilacs to our breeding program. We are hoping to introduce Oriental Cinnimons and Oriental Blacks within the next 12 to 24 months.

Lesant cats are renouned for being large, beautiful cats with loving affectionate temperments. They are known not only for their excellent type and perfect color but also for their exceptional personalities. Our cats are bred to be shown! They enjoy the crowds and being handled and because they are so well socialized and affectionate, they make ideal family pets. Due to their incredibly good temperments we have had a considerable amount of 'repeat' business; with some families owning as many as four Lesant cats.

Our Siamese breeding program concentrates on perfect Lilac Points, as well as beautiful pale milk Chocolate Points and stunning Seal Points. Our personal preference is for solid point Siamese. We do not breed Red, Cream, Cinnimon, Caramel, Fawn, Tabby, Lynx or Tortie points. We have chosen not to breed Blue Points because we feel that mixing Blue into our bloodlines might distort the incredible Lilac colour we are able to achieve.

As you peruse our wesite you may be curious about the names we choose for our cats. Because we have had a long standing interest in, and love of art (we are avid collectors), we have chosen art as a permanent theme for our cattery. We name all our males after painters and our females after portraits of women. We hope you will enjoy our website and that you will find it informative.
